Pelican Sculptures — black & white coastal wall art from Merimbula on the NSW Far South Coast (Sapphire Coast), photographed by local photographer John Martin. Made to order as a fine art print, framed print, framed canvas, stretched canvas or acrylic panel, A4 to 150x100cm, delivered Australia-wide.

The three pelican sculptures stand on their pilings at Fishpen, rendered in black and white, with the township and the lake stretching away behind them and a heavily textured sky overhead. Stripped of colour, the shapes of the birds and the pilings carry the whole picture.

The pelicans have become one of Merimbula's landmarks, set where the Fishpen peninsula meets the lake. This is the monochrome treatment of the same view — the colour version is listed separately, and the two are worth seeing side by side.

Photographed by John Martin · Merimbula, Sapphire Coast
