Everything you might want to know before you order — about the prints, finishes, shipping and more. Can’t see your question? Send me a message and I’ll personally help.
About the prints
Are these your own photographs?
Yes — every image is mine, shot along the Sapphire Coast between Bermagui and Eden. These aren’t stock photos; they’re the beaches, lakes and headlands I walk past every day.
What does “made to order” mean?
Each print is produced individually once you order it, rather than sitting in a warehouse. It’s made just for you, in the size and finish you choose. Because of that, prints are produced in limited runs — when a size sells out, it may not return.
Can I get a custom size, or a location that isn’t listed?
Often, yes. If you need a particular size for a wall, or there’s a spot on the coast you love that you can’t see,
send me a message and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Choosing your print
How do I choose the right size?
As a rough guide: 120cm looks beautiful above a sofa or bed, 90cm suits a hallway or bedroom wall, and 60cm is lovely in a study or reading nook. There’s a full
size guide here, and if you’re between sizes, just ask — sizing is the thing people most often want a hand with.
Will the print look as sharp as it does on screen, especially at larger sizes?
Yes. My images are captured on professional high-resolution equipment, and I only offer each image in sizes it genuinely holds up at — if a photo isn’t suited to a very large format, that size simply won’t appear as an option. As a guide, larger pieces are made to be enjoyed from a step or two back, the way you’d naturally view art on a wall.
Will the colours match what I see on my screen?
Very closely. Every screen displays colour a little differently — screens emit light, while a print reflects it — so there can be subtle natural variation between your monitor and the finished piece. I work on a calibrated screen and prepare every file specifically for print, so what arrives is a faithful match to the image you fell in love with.
Can you help me choose?
Absolutely. Send me a photo of your wall if you like — I personally answer every enquiry and I’m happy to help you find the right piece and size. No obligation.
Finishes & framing
What finishes can I choose from?
Fine-art mat prints, framed prints, canvas, and face-mounted acrylic — plus acrylic blocks for smaller spaces. The finish is shown on every product page.
What frame colours are available?
Three, all made to order: white, oak, and black — chosen to suit coastal interiors and work across the whole range.
What is the acrylic finish?
Your photograph is face-mounted to the back of a sheet of clear acrylic, giving incredible depth and a glossy, gallery-like finish — many people say it looks like a window onto the scene. It’s then mounted on a sturdy aluminium backing frame, which protects the piece and makes it easy to hang securely on your wall.
Orders
Can I change or cancel my order?
Because each piece is made to order and goes into production quickly, I can’t always change or cancel once it’s underway. If you need to adjust something,
contact me as soon as possible and I’ll do my best — but please do check your size and finish carefully before ordering.
How do I know the status of my order?
You’ll get a confirmation email as soon as you order, and a second email with tracking once your piece is finished and on its way. Most orders arrive within 10–16 days.
Do you have a store I can visit?
Yes — a selected range is on display at The Essence of Our Merimbula, 4 Merimbula Drive, Merimbula (opposite the Merimbula Post Office), so you’re welcome to come and see the quality in person. And if you’d like to collect an online order yourself, local pickup in Merimbula is available at checkout.
Shipping & delivery
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on all orders over $100. For orders under $100, shipping is calculated at checkout.
Where do you ship to?
Australia-wide as standard. I can ship internationally by request — just
get in touch before ordering and I’ll sort it out for you. Orders are produced locally to keep freight cost and delivery time down.
How long will delivery take?
Please allow 10–16 days from order to arrival, with remote and regional areas (and any international orders) naturally taking a little longer. Please allow extra time during busy periods.
What if I’m not home when it arrives?
The courier will usually leave it somewhere safe, or leave a card with instructions to collect it from your local post office.
Returns & peace of mind
What if my order arrives damaged?
It’s rare, thanks to careful packaging, but if anything arrives damaged please send me a photo (with the packaging) within 48 hours of delivery and I’ll arrange a replacement straight away. Under Australian Consumer Law you’re always covered for items that arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described.
Can I return a print if I change my mind?
As each print is made to order especially for you, I’m generally unable to accept change-of-mind returns — so please ask any questions before you buy; I’m always happy to help. If you’re ever unhappy with the quality of what arrives, tell me, and I’ll make it right.
Account & payment
Do I need an account to order?
No — you can check out as a guest. Creating an account is optional, but it lets you track orders and reorder more easily, and hear first about new releases.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay securely using any of the methods shown at checkout, including major credit and debit cards and the express payment options Shopify supports.
Are my payment details safe?
Completely. Payments are handled securely by the payment provider — I never see or store your card details.
Gifts
Do you sell gifts as well as wall art?
Yes — jigsaw puzzles, beach towels, coasters, placemats, stubby holders, acrylic blocks and mousepads, all featuring the same coastal images.
Gift cards are available too, if you’d rather let someone choose.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes — a
Sapphire Coast Photography gift card is perfect when you’d love to give a piece of the coast but want to let them choose for themselves — whether that’s a piece of wall art or something from the gift range. It’s delivered by email and can be spent on anything in the store.
Commercial photography
Do you do photography for businesses?
Yes — alongside the prints, I offer real estate, commercial, event, portrait and food photography, plus CASA-accredited drone/aerial work and video. See my
Services page or get in touch for a quote.
Caring for your print
How do I look after it?
For acrylic and glass, a soft, dry microfibre cloth is all you need. Hang prints out of harsh direct sunlight where you can, and they’ll stay beautiful for many years.
