A small blue dinghy, nets and floats piled inside it, moored against a rock wall in Eden as the sky streaks pink and violet overhead — the rocks, the boat and the last of the light all doubled in the still water below.

Eden has been a working harbour on Twofold Bay since the whaling days, and small boats like this one are still part of its everyday life. This one was caught at the quiet end of the evening, when the water goes flat and the colour comes up.
