Short Point in the first light of morning — the rocks glowing warm, the water quiet, and a pair of Pied Oystercatchers going about their day completely undisturbed. This stretch of coast near Merimbula is beloved by walkers, surfers and early risers alike, and on a morning like this one, it’s easy to understand why people come back to it year after year.
