Photographed on the Sapphire Coast by John Martin.

Tip out the pieces and settle in at the Fishpen in Merimbula, where three quirky metal pelicans stand guard on their old timber pilings. The sun glows gold over the houses on the hill, the sky drifts from apricot to soft lilac, and the still lake mirrors the lights of town. If you've strolled the Merimbula foreshore, you'll know these three characters well.

With 1000 pieces it's a rewarding challenge: the dark pelican silhouettes and pilings make a great place to start, the lit-up shopfronts and boats give you plenty of detail, and the reflections in the glassy water will keep you guessing. The soft, cloud-streaked sky is a lovely slow finish for a quiet afternoon.

Made in Australia on quality puzzle board. Finished size 70cm x 50cm (landscape). 1000 pieces.
